Støckers

Støckers (/ˈstø.kəs/) are small text creatures that automatically move around the canvas, avoiding text in the process. Lime has created several types of these creatures with distinct designs and functionalities, such as 'støckmen' with dynamic poses, SLC faces that periodically change expressions, and tiny, single-charactered 'fireflies' that travel across the canvas in small leaps.

These scripts were being worked on as early as late 2024, and lime would deploy them at spawn from time to time.

Prophetbot

A bot created by TheUltimateKatanaMaster in July 2023. It is primarily a chat bot, though the name "Prophetbot" is also attached to an animated scrolling text display that would appear at Spawn from time to time.

Catha'Vi

Roombas

Catha'Vi's roomba on YWOT (Sped up 30x)

In their early days on the site, Catha'Vi was known for creating ASCII roombas which would move around the canvas and delete everything in their paths.

These roombas were initially deployed on Your World of Text, where they were seen as a nuisance by much of the site's users. Catha'Vi's roombas were inspired by an earlier script from YWOT which was also abhorred by the userbase.

The roombas suffered a similar level of backlash when they were eventually ported over to OWOT. On one instance, FP himself ordered Catha'Vi to shut down their script, complaining that they needlessly erased text and left ugly patterns all over Spawn.

/movienight

/movienight was a world which hosted scheduled broadcasts of various movies.

It played films at ~5 fps using a grid of 80x25 characters. Graphics were initially rendered using colored full blocks(█), but later updated to a combination of half blocks(▀, ▄) and cell background colors for double the resolution. Subtitles were included to make up for a lack of sound, though they were often out of sync with the scenes.

/movienight shut down in August of 2024, but Catha'Vi hinted one year later that the world might return sometime soon.

/movienight2

On August 18th, 2025, Catha'Vi created a sequel to /movienight which rendered footage using octant characters. This newer world animated on a smaller grid(40x12 characters) in order to improve the frame rate(and also because octants allowed for higher resolutions to be achieved using fewer characters).

/riscv

/riscv was a Linux emulator that ran in OWOT. It was released by Catha'Vi on December 1st, 2025. Uses could interact with it by inputting commands into chat.

Mr. Black

Mr. Black was active for only a few weeks in late 2024, but during that time he attracted a large amount of attention for deploying various animations at Spawn.

Toy Car

SOP Animations

Fox

Fox was an active scripter from 2024 to 2025. Their other creations include a software for creating 3D art using SLC cubes, and an infinite canvas where users can only draw lines.

DayDun random

A set of animated spinning graphics that were occasionally broadcasted to Spawn, most recently in August of 2025. They were likely generated with an octant-based implementation of DayDun random.

Octant video player

The video player running alongside two iterations of DayDun's(?) rotating graphic (August 16th, 2025)
Color on vs color off (August 14th, 2025)

Created by an anonymous user who used #CAD453 for their text color.

The script rendered footage from its creator's monitor using octants. Its frame rate and resolution were extremely low, limitations which the creator blamed on Spawn's excessive ratelimit.

FP color banned the creator of the video player after they repeatedly used it to stream porn at spawn. This proved to be ineffective, and the user would resume their illicit broadcast a few days later.

The script was also used to play SFW media, including TV shows like Breaking Bad and Beavis and Butthead. Other times the creator would simply livestream themselves browsing social media or scrolling around OWOT itself.

The creator briefly considered releasing the script to the public, but decided not to after being convinced that bad actors would use it to lag the canvas.

They and their video player may have returned to the canvas in December 2025, during which episodes of Breaking Bad would be broadcasted to Spawn on a daily basis. But with them being an anon it's hard to confirm. (Though it's pretty likely since NSFW videos also returned during this time, resulting in more color bans from FP.)

On December 18th, 2025, they played a video at Spawn of a naked baby with a graphic birth defect. Upon being alerted of this, FP chose to disable all color on the Mainpage until he could implement a way to properly hide this kind of content.

e_g.

e_g., also knowns as Meowcer, is a veteran scripter within the community.

/orpvpboss

Inspired by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH951OcqqYY.

/orpvpboss was an interactive game that allowed users to play a Candybox-esque side scroller. It was released by e_g. on October 18th, 2025.

Users could use comu links to control the player character, executing actions such as moving left/right, attacking and defending. There was also an admin panel that let players spawn enemies, adjust healthbars, and increase/decrease difficulty.

Three enemy types existed:

  • Red stick figures that moved from right to left. These enemies would taunt the player and call them a noob during a game over.
    • Clicking the "defend" comu link placed a barrier in front of the player character, which would block attacks from the red stickmen and gave the player time to recover health.
  • Planes that dropped bombs as they passed overhead.
    • Clicking the "up" comu link placed a barrier above the player character, which protected against bombs being dropped from overhead.
  • A massive (compared to other enemies) braille image of a Minecraft zombie that moved from right to left and bulldozed everything in its path.
    • These enemies had an absurd amount of health and are mostly intended as an absurd gag, i.e. impossible to defeat.

There was also a score(tick) system that constantly increased so long as the player character was alive. On the night of the world's release, e_g. and Falling1 were able to achieve a high score of 1378 without cheating using the admin panel.

Pou

A recreation of the game Pou.

Video player

An octant video player developed by e_g in late 2025. She tested it out on December 23rd, 2025 by playing Bad Apple at Spawn, showcasing a higher resolution than other video scripts and achieving an unprecedented 30 fps[1] by getting FP to raise the ratelimit for her.

She formally announced the script on December 24th, 2025, dubbing it a "Christmas gift."

See here for a test of the script on a private NWOT instance.

See here (epilepsy warning) for a 60 fps test from December 26th, 2025.

/e_g./ny2026

/e_g./ny2026 was released on New Year's Eve 2025 and ran for a few hours.

The world contained a firework simulator which could be controlled using comu links. By default, the rockets would fly upwards from the ground and explode into a cloud of particles. Using the admin panel it was possible to change the speed of the fireworks and the amount of particles spawned by the explosions.

There was a chance (which can be set using the admin panel) for the fireworks to fail and fall to the ground. This idea was suggested by Falling1.

The simulation also contained:

  • A background which could be toggled between: night(default), day(cyan), midnight(a darker blue), and rainbow
  • An animated moon that moved across the sky and changed phases
    • Its speed could be customized using the admin panel
  • Stars that slowly oscillated
    • The admin panel could be used to customize their speed and density, or to turn them off entirely
  • A small landscape at the bottom
    • The admin panel could be used to customize the number of buildings, the amount of snow, and the height of the ground

Miscellaneous

Banksy

A former anon who created a large amount of animations in late 2025. They were partially inspired by Mr. Black's creations from late 2024.

They used to have a username back in 2018 but no longer remembers what it was. They renamed to Banksy on December 20th, 2025.

gimmickCellar

A list of their scripts can be found at /gcScriptHub.

/lifetest

Chat commands were used to change the rules of the simulation.

/lifetest was created on November 27th, 2025. It hosted variations of Conway's Game of Life, setting rules in INT notation.

/pacmanscript

/pacmanscript was created on November 28th, 2025.

Blobs

A user-controlled blob that moves around the canvas and eats everything in its path, growing in size as it absorbs more text, like in Agar.io (according to gimmickCellar). It also uses the current selected color.

Rainbow unicode script

Appeared at Spawn on December 8th, 2025. Animated patterns would appear over a matrix of colorful unicode symbols.

The script was created by a spammer named hateyoujustin.

Miscellaneous

A variety of animated scripts on February 26th, 2023, including fishes.js, Conway's Game of Life, and Prophetbot's news ticker.

Bonus: Spam(and other scripts) that spread in fancy patterns

*idk if these fit all the criteria for animated scripts, but they at least achieve a life-like quality that isn't found in normal pasting/editing

Trivia

  • Animated scripts also exist in Your World of Text, with the most notable example being the infamous Roomba — though they tend to be much slower due to the site's lower rate limits.
  • Animation is technically possible on Our World of Pixels but faces similar constraints as YWOT.
  • Bad Apple has been animated multiple times on all three canvases.

Notes

  1. Keep in mind that video players on OWOT usually struggle to maintain 4 fps.
  2. The script for the mobile cat can be found at greasyfork.org/en/scripts/425310-moving-small-cat/code though it no longer seems to work as of 2025.
