The Carrion

The Carrion, formerly called "The Tomato Sauce Monster" or "The Teratoma Terror," is a sentient mass of red flesh that appears at spawn from time to time. It is created from unicodes and Symbols for Legacy Computing.

It is unclear whether there is a single creator behind The Carrion, or if it's a shared idea between many different users.

IT SPREADS, MY SPAWN OF TISSUE AND BLOOD" "STAGE 3: CYSTS DEVELOP, BURSTING INTO NEW GORE TO SPREAD MY INFECTION. IT IS BEAUTIFUL, IS IT NOT?

First recorded instance of The Carrion on November 11th, 2024. This prototype was covered with yellow warts and had eyes made from block characters. It did not contain any Symbols for Legacy Computing, nor did it make use of the ability to customize cell background colors, since that feature wouldn't be enabled at spawn until much later.

BLOOD SPILLS FROM THEIR WOUNDS, IT FEEDS THE MASS; GROWING LARGER, MORE BEAUTIFUL.

How to Make a Carrion

The color of The Carrion's flesh is #d00000 . Most of its body is composed of the full block character "█"(U+219).

As an amorphous creature, the Carrion's body can be whatever shape the artist desires. It is covered by multiple eyes and mouths, which can be arranged in any order.

The Carrion's eyes and mouths make use of several triangle symbols:

• Sides of the Irises: ◄, ►
• Corners of the Eyes ◤, ◥, ◣, ◢
• Teeth: ▼, ▲
• Corners of the Mouth: 🭡, 🭖, 🭐, 🭅 (Can't be rendered on the wiki due to them being Symbols for Legacy Computing)

The first three set of symbols must be typed with the bold text decoration in order for them to appear at the correct angles. You can enable text decorations using the command ctrl/alt+q.

Characters inside The Carrion's mouths can also have [tbd] as their cell background color, though there are some iterations of the creature where the interiors of the mouths are simply white.
