Halloween

Created in collaboration with Poopman for a Halloween event.

/Halloween23 uses pixel art by Poopman as its image background, which is stored in the site's code as /static/files/grave.webp. There is also a script that displayed a wobbling, Halloween-themed emoji over your cursor. The emoji shows up at your location for everyone using the world, though this feature can be toggled off using a menu at the top left corner.

In addition to the background, Poopman has filled the world with several pieces of high quality pixel art. These were meant to accompany an art contest that was taking place on the world. The contest was won by Bzuki (to much controversy due to the questionable quality of his drawing), who received membership on the page as a prize.

Poopman would create similar worlds (and art contests) for Thanksgiving 2023 and Christmas 2025 - 2030.

2024

As part of Halloween, cell colors were enabled and the chat was temporarily enabled starting on October 30 and ending the next morning.

The center console was replaced with a pumpkin, which proceeded to rot over the course of a few days. Once it had disintegrated completely, some users expressed relief with one anonymous user stating, "i hated the pumpkin."

Following calls to keep cell colors enabled, it's being held longer to gauge how it's being handled by the community.

For Halloween 2025, the Center Console once again turned into a pumpkin.

Frontpage chat was also brought back, temporarily at first, though it ended up staying for good due to requests from the community.

On November 6th, the pumpkin started to decay like in the previous year. Afterwards FP made the choice to not restore the Center Console until the following day.

Turkey of Publicity by Poopman

Poopman created a detailed pixel art turkey for 2023's Thanksgiving Center Console.

He also made /thanksgiving23, a world similar to /Halloween23 with an image background made by Poopman. The emoji cursor feature also made a return, alongside a new effect where leaves fall down from the top right corner of the screen.

Like its predecessor, this world was host to an art contest which was won by Scar32, who became a member of the world as a prize.

Wreath of Publicity with The Carrion (December 20th, 2024)

2025

On December 17th, 2025, FP created a green Center Console for Christmas 2025. It received some amount of backlash for its uninspired design, and was replaced by a Poopman drawing on the following day. This marked one of Poopman's first major actions in OWOT after being inactive for most of 2025.

*Poopman later deleted the drawing by accident and had to rebuild it from scratch. At the end of this he forgot to protect the lowest row of characters, leading them to be deleted for the rest of the holiday season.

Around this time, an anonymous scripter also deployed several animations at Spawn, some of which were Christmas-themed.

On December 19th, Poopman and FP released /ChristmasWorld, which contained an image background just like /Halloween23 and /thanksgiving23. And like in those worlds an art contest was announced, with the winner(s) being given a (🎄) tag for one month. Unlike its predecessors, however, /ChristmasWorld is set to make a return every year until 2030.

On a more unfortunate note, an influx of NSFW image pastes caused FP to temporarily disable colors on the Mainpage. The color ban persisted through Christmas and would not end until ?????, when FP implemented a way to hide image pastes from the canvas.
