AndreiXYZ, formerly known as William Afton, is a Romanian SLC artist and world designer who joined OWOT on July 31st, 2020.
Andrei was a vocal figure on the OWOT Discord and would write lengthy messages expressing his opinions. In particular, he pushed for FP to increase moderation on both Discord and the canvas itself.
Andrei is a big supporter of /main, an art-centric subworld with stricter moderation, and believes that it should be used to advertise OWOT instead of the more toxic Mainpage.
His stance on user drama usually involves harsher punishment against the site's more undesirable members.
Outside of drama, Andrei has undertaken a variety of projects to study and archive the community's history. Notably, he created a world to document changes made to the Mainpage's center console.
From December 2021 to July 2022 he collaborated with FP to compile data on the growth of the OWOT Discord, which he put into a series of animated charts on flourish.studio.
From 2023 to 2024 he also ran a Discord-based newspaper to document interesting happenings within the site.
But arguably his most impactful contribution was in December of 2023, when he interviewed FP for the 6th anniversary of Our World of Text. This interview remains important to this day for shedding light on both the past and future of OWOT.
As of 2025 Andrei is mostly inactive, but would still lurk the Discord server and interject every once in a while.

Push For Stronger Moderation
"And from what i've seen, Yagton would genuinely do a pretty good job in keeping this server clean, and while he isn't as active as i am – despite having around the same amount of passion as me in desiring this server to be moderated – he definitely is more active than you are, so that's a plus.
Is there any pact that you've made 7 years ago to only allow a specific list of OG people to be a moderator and have nobody else reach this rank?
I really don't want owot to be a nepotist site, and I don't think anyone else would come close to agreeing with this practice.
Letting anyone on the internet do anything as they please sounds good in theory or when you just start thinking about it because you only focus on the positive collaborative work that only some people make, but in practice, it's hell as you know it."

Andrei is a strong proponent for heavier moderation in OWOT. He has called out FP for only letting veteran users have admin positions(most of whom don't even use the site anymore).
In May of 2024 he led an effort to install Fern(then Yagton) as an admin on the OWOT Discord. He advocated for all users to private their pages, especially those that have been WOTDs, until FP appoints a new moderator. FP gave Fern moderator permits on May 15th, 2025, after which Andrei congratulated her and expressed optimism for the site's future.
As of June 2025, however, FP has still yet to install any new moderators to the canvas itself.

- Q: [What is the story behind OWOT's creation?]
- A: [I began working on OWOT in mid-2016, but lost interest in mid-2017. I restarted the project after talking to Dzeni and Anon_guy, who offered to host it on their server; but the development process was still greatly inefficient and I had to remake the entire repository every time I wanted to make the change. Then InfraRaven caught wind of the project and offered to run it on one of his spare servers, and the rest is history.]
- Q: Have you ever felt that OWOT would go nowhere in terms of popularity while you were developing it.
- A: Back when I first started working on OWOT, I never anticipated anybody beyond my small group of friends on YWOT using it. Even during OWOT's first couple of months, hardly anybody ever used it. The community organically grew at a slow pace over the span of a couple years.
- Q: Have you had any difficulties or burnout or wanted to make a feature but it was just out of your devskill's reach?
- A: By November of 2017, I was already burned out from developing OWOT and nearly dropped out of developing it. By sheer miracle, I picked up work on OWOT again and started refactoring the codebase here and there.
- Q: Are you ever going to quit working on OWOT? Like, will you ever pass the torch to someone else, InfraRaven perhaps, as he's the one hosting the domain, or maybe some other staff member like Mr.Guy? I wonder how many generations OWOT will last, well, before getting a visit from the FBI for the actions the community has done there. I'm joking, of course.
- A: I plan on continuing to develop OWOT until the day I die. I'm not aware of any viable heir to OWOT since I'm not aware of anybody else who's as interested in OWOT as I am. By then, who knows? maybe there'll be people lining up to take my torch should the need arise.Maybe a competitor will spring up, leading to owot becoming too irrelevant for anybody to want to "inherit." This is surprisingly common in the software world - I've seen developers for libraries who still continue to maintain that library decades later.
Presence on the OWOT Discord
Andrei used to be one of the most active users in the OWOT Discord, having accumulated 105,523 messages since joining the server in March of 2021.
He is not as active today, however, but still keeps up to date with new messages and occasionally intervenes in drama.
OWOT Discord Message History
On January 15th, 2022, Andrei published a chart on flourish.studio that tracked the OWOT Discord's message count over its entire history. Users can toggle between different time periods and view specific channels.
This project was compiled over the course of over 2 months, and Andrei had to get FP's permission to obtain data on restricted channels(Ex. #united-snowy-boys and #staff).

Related Users
Fern(formerly Yagton)
Andrei has been friends with Fern for years and petitioned strongly for her to be made a moderator on the OWOT Discord.
He was also the first person in OWOT to learn of her transition, and playfully hinted at it for months before the big reveal. After the reveal he organized all information about Fern's transition into a thread in the #trash channel.
Since her promotion to Discord admin, Andrei has stood with Fern on most moderation issues and helped her gather evidence against misbehaving users. Notably, however, he has criticized her for not taking action against Lemuria despite repeated cases of ragebaiting.
FP

Andrei once interviewed FP for OWOT's 6th anniversary, during which he expressed his gratitude for OWOT, which had been a large part of his internet presence since 2020. He also said that he looked up to him for developing an entire website when he was only 14.
Andrei is known to criticize FP for not appointing more moderators, thus allowing trolls to run unchecked on both the canvas and the OWOT Discord(which has become significantly more orderly since Fern's appointment in 2024).
The Manhatingzone

I've asked FP if he could wipe this section of the world at least and OTHER WORLDS (/mhz glorifies zoophilia through ASCII art, /williamXbzuki is pretty much one of the fanfics turned into an entire world, /AndreiReceipts I don't remember if it has anything NSFW but it's still creepy as fuck writing roleplay shit about you as a grown ass woman and a minor). AndreiXYZ was historically the most vocal critic of the MHZ, and tried multiple times to get FP to delete certain sections of their worlds. He also caused /OWOTD to be temporarily privated after griefing it using scripts.
In response, the MHZ wrote numerous fanfictions(most of which were sexual in nature) about Andrei and even created an entire world to mock him.
As of 2024, however, Andrei has decided to stop talking about the Manhatingzone or its worlds. Similarly, the MHZ has become dormant and no longer attracts as much drama as it did before.
Polonez

Andrei is also a vocal critic of Polonez, a notoriously toxic user who planned to take down the OWOT Discord by reporting it for pedophilia.
He was extremely frustrated to learn that Lime.owot had started dating him in May of 2025.
Lemuria
"I wanna say something real quick about me dragging on with these arguments.
While I obviously can't deny that I make up a sizeable chunk of the drama involving Lemuria, I do think it's absurd for everyone to just shut up and sit and watch as he continuously tries to push his attention mineral ore extraction quarry schedule onto us with all sorts of artificial non-human terms while we can't fight back for the sake of not causing any more drama.
And there's essentially no way to get rid of Lemuria through moderation, either since this server has stuck to just the Discord guidelines which don't mention nuisances like these because it's a "subjective issue that should be treated individually" (even though it's proven to be an objective issue at this point).
So yeah uh yeah let's stop with the drama. It's uh unnecessary and is just uhh it just spreads negativity we just want peace. Yeah while there's just a deranged person here who freely talks about Twitch streamers like they're attention seeking opportunity fountains and who even slipped out a death threat on a moderator and even missile bombing on an innocent choir despite knowing damn well for entire months that the community doesn't like his actions what a very uhh positive and peaceful scenario."

Since June 2024, a conflict has been ongoing between Lemuria and Andrei. Lemuria's attention seeking behavior, frequent discussion of niche Twitch streamers, and the heavily biased nature of Our World of News were the key causes of the conflict.
Andrei also operates a group chat dedicated to gathering intelligence on Lemuria's actions. Previously, the existence of the group chat was unconfirmed, and Lemuria's belief in its existence dismissed as "paranoia". However, during a conversation about Lemuria on May 3, 2025, Andrei claimed responsibility for the creation of the group chat.
By 2025, the feud has become less intense, with Andrei ignoring Lemuria most of the time, and Lemuria finding new communities, and conflicts, outside of OWOT.
Meimei
It is unknown if Andrei is aware of Meimei's ties to the MHZ — if any exist at all — but he has nevertheless shown admiration for her art style.
For Christmas of 2023 he made a custom Center Console for /main in the style of one of Meimei's drawings from /computer.yes.
On one occasion he pondered the idea of traveling back in time and showing Meimei's art to YWOT users from the early 2010s.
Jamel
In May of 2025 Andrei gathered evidence against Jamel for his transphobic and homophobic behavior.
Earlier that day he had also contributed to the case against Tatejo, who received a lengthy ban for abusing alts, being generally toxic and conspiring to take down the website.

Presence on YWOT
From 2021 to 2023 Andrei feuded with a user named Jesse78 over emoji spam, with Jesse reacting to every message with the :bike: emote.
Andrei's main criticism was that the server had devolved into meaningless faction wars with there being very little discussion about the site itself.
It must be noted, however, that Andrei had previously cooperated with Jesse over his effort to react to every message with the :nobikes: emote. It is possible that he only turned on Jesse after he switched to being a bike enthusiast.
Andrei became mostly inactive after the emoji spam died down.
Presence on OWOP
In the OWOP Discord Andrei is primarily active in the #hell channel, which was created to contain misbehaving users.
He and another #hell user named Vvictor are currently the server's most active members and would consistently lobotomize themselves for public entertainment(i.e. shitposting).
The two of them are still going at it to this day, and on a daily basis, no less.
