Timeline of OWOT

2010

• June 8 – Your World of Text launches OWOT.

2017

• October 8 – A new version of OWOT is launched and the first WOTD was chosen.
• October 28 – The first changelog is released.
• October 30 – Changelog 2 is released.

2018

• March 3 – Changelog 3 is released.
• March 6 – Changelog 4 is created.
• July 19 – Changelog 5 is released.
• December 1 – Changelog 6 is released.

2019

• September 2 – Changelog 7 is released.
• December - Katiserie and Tap20 join.

2020

• March-May: There was a high amount of image spam in that time period. Vixie spammed lucario burgers, better known as furgers.
• May 11 – Changelog 8 is released.

2021

• Notable users join this year, including Bzuki and 7799.
• March - OWOT Memer Community (formerly known as amogus) was created - It was a place where OWOT users met and talked about everything from their owot worlds to different games such as Undertale or Minecraft.
• July – Changelog 9 is released.

2022

• May – Changelog 10 is released.

2023

• February 25 – OWOT becomes open source.
• March-May: The AntiSwear campaign was one of the major dramas.
• May 27 – Changelog 11 is released.
• November 5 – Lemuria joins OWOT.

2024

Yikes, that spammer!

• January 20 – Starianna begins her attack on OWOT.
• January 29 – Sabrina is revealed to be Starianna, and is banned.
• February 15 – FP announces the removal of chat on the front page, scheduled for March 10, 2024.
• February 19 – Unknown troll impersonates Christa McAuliffe. They spam McAuliffe's name all over spawn, presumably with scripts, resulting in FP ratelimiting them.
• February 21 – Starianna attacks spawn again.
