Wipers
Wipers are scripts that allow users to rapidly clear large amounts of text. This is often used to combat spam, though these scripts can also be used for more destructive purposes, and as such tend not to be handed out freely.
Unless stated otherwise, all gifs here are playing at real time.
Notable wipers
Fern's wiper
Wipes text in a diamond-shaped pattern.
Lime's raywiper
Erases spam in a circular pattern using rays. Used by lime.owot to maintain Spawn throughout 2025.
NextOS was given a "tainted" version of this script that left behind patterns when wiping text caused by rays failing to reach every character. This version allowed Lime to monitor its activities, and to confiscate in case of abuse.

Solar Wiper
This script was given publicly by hateyoujustin in obfuscated form, though some versions of the script were deobfuscated. The Solar Wiper causes users to send an automated message in chat every time it is used. Ironically, it has usually been used for spamming rather than wiping.
gimmickCellar's raywiper
A script created by gimmickCellar in late 2025.
It is highly customizable, allowing users to change the radius, shape, and growth pattern of the wipe. It can also be made to paste characters other than spaces, allowing it to double as a spam script in addition to a wiper.
In December 2025 the script was leaked and used to orchestrate a massive spam wave.

Other spam clearing scripts
Most of these are rather gimmicky, meant to serve more as interesting spectacles than as effective ways of erasing spam.
Roombas
Mobile scripts that automatically crawl around the canvas and delete everything in their paths. Roombas function much slower than manual wiping and are usually limited to a small radius around the center. Despite this, these scripts are almost universally despised since they lack the ability to distinguish between spam and original content.
The first roombas originated from Your World of Text in late 2022, and were created by a user who was simply named The Janitor. They were then duplicated by a user named Catha'Vi, who brought them to OWOT in 2024. Another scripter named Prohibit would later create their own roomba in 2025, though this one didn't see much use.

Black hole script
A script from November 2025 that slowly sucks in text in a small radius. The center switches periodically between a full block unicode and a note link that didn't appear to contain anything.
The creator was later revealed to be a scripter named Banksy, who had been an anon up until December 20th, 2025.
Vacuum script
Another script by Banksy.

Tank script
Another script by Banksy.
A tank that can be driven around the canvas. It fires bombs from an opening on its side, which travel in arcs and detonate into a small unicode explosions. The user can control the direction and distance of the thrown bombs.

Spinning line thing
Appeared on December 21st, 2025.
A unicode line that spins around, slowly sweeping away text within a square-shaped area.
