Goatway

Goatway refers to a series of bots that automatically forward messages from OWOT's chat to Discord, and that also allow users to message chat from Discord.

These bots serve to provide an archive for chat, since the site itself does not keep a permanent log of past messages.

The name "Goatway" came from an OWOP clone named Tixtels, which had a chat system going by the same name.

Main Discord Goatways

Original Goatway

FP started running the original Goatway on December 23rd, 2018 and discontinued it in early 2021.

The bot was hosted on two channels in the Main OWOT Discord: #goatway-global for messages from Global Chat and #goatway-frontpage for message from the now deleted Frontpage Chat.

Boter

A bot created by FP to replace the first Goatway.

Boter was launched soon after the discontinuation of its predecessor and would remain active until late 2022, when it became clear that the TOS-breaking contents of chat might cause the OWOT Discord to be reported by malicious parties. This concern has caused all future Goatways to be hosted on separate Discord servers.

Goatway Remake

Started by Falling1 in June of 2023 and is still running today.

In order to protect the Main Discord, this Goatway is hosted on a separate server.

Polonz Goatway

Polonez's Goatway remake existed for 1 single day in early 2025.

Foxway

Created by Echoden in July of 2025.

Foxway is the most unconventional Goatway in that it assigns a unique APP account to each username in chat. Users in the Foxway Discord can then use bot commands to customize the appearances of the APP accounts representing them.

Foxway was shut down in August of 2025, but it may be revived in the future.
