FP

FP's New Year and Christmas Countdowns feature multiple animated elements. See one of these events in action here.

Daydun?

Octant Video Player by ??????

The video player running alongside two iterations of Daydun?'s rotating graphic(August 16th, 2025)
Color on vs color off(August 16th, 2025)

Created by an anonymous user who used #CAD453 for their text color.

The script rendered footage from its creator's monitor using octants. Its frame rate and resolution were extremely low, limitations which the creator blamed on Spawn's excessive ratelimit.

FP color banned the creator of the video player after they repeatedly used it to stream porn at spawn. This proved to be ineffective, and the user would resume their illicit broadcast a few days later.

The player was also used to play less graphic pieces of media, including TV shows like Breaking Bad and Beavis and Butthead. Other times the creator would simply livestream themselves browsing social media or scrolling around OWOT itself.

The creator briefly considered releasing the script to the public, but decided not to after being convinced that bad actors would use it to lag the canvas.

Trivia

  • Animated scripts also exist on Your World of Text—with the most notable example being the infamous Roomba—though they tend to be much slower due to the site's lower rate limits.
  • Animation is technically possible on Our World of Pixels but faces similar constraints as YWOT.
  • Bad Apple has been animated multiple times on all three canvases.
  • As of 2025 no one has ever attempted to run DOOM in OWOT, though Guest-1052 one suggested that it could be done by porting msdos ASCII DOOM 1999 into the site. On another note, Catha'vi's world /doomwad contains the entirety of doom.wad encoded in octants; the world contains 3 mb of data and is roughly 246 coordinates long.
