fox (capitalized as "fox"), formerly known as jan soweli Asike and Optic the Wolf, is a user on both the Our World of Text website and the official Our World Of Text Discord server. fox is known within the community as a prolific scripter and artist who creates complex graphics using Symbols for Legacy Computing.

Minecraft fox
This was art on canvas of Minecraft's 3D fox model, heavily reliant on the usage of Symbols for Legacy Computing Unicode characters and of cell colors. fox had created it on November 13th, 2024, shortly after cell colors were enabled on /. On the 13th of February, 2025, fox created an arctic fox variant with assistance from a 3D image painter script fox wrote (see below for more details). The fox can be found in /main at X:-7 Y-11 or in the world /mcfox

This artwork was inspired by Mewo from Omori, and is a remix of an existing port of Mewo to OWoT.

3D image painter
After spending a tedious amount of effort piecing together the 3D Minecraft fox, fox decided to make a script for creating 3D block drawings, which can then be pasted onto the canvas.
The 3D image painter was "finished" on February 12th, 2025 to acclaim from many users, including FP.

Silly bot
"silly bot" was a simple Node.JS bot written by fox, operating under the Uvias display name silly_bot.
Silly bot would (invisibly) listen to incoming messages sent in Global chat for as long as the script was active. When a chat participant sent a message matching certain arbritrary regexes, it may reply back with an accompanying message—either privately to the sender, or globally for everyone. For example, if a participant sent a message containing "meow", silly bot may privately reply to the participant "meow", "mrrp", "mrow", or "mew". For each message that matched a given regex, registered users were rewarded with "silly points", an arbitrary point system with no real value.
Silly bot also had a few commands users could invoke, such as !optout to opt out of replies, !leaderboard to view the top 10 users with the largest amount of silly points, or !help to view a list of commands.

Rocket
On November 13th, 2024, fox introduced a moving rocket ship that could be manually controlled via a keypress. To its right was an updating piece of text that counted how many tiles the rocket had traveled in a given session.
The rocket was a work-in-progress. fox planned to give it the ability to move diagonally, as well as have it preserve the text it passes over instead of deleting it; in the meantime, fox used the rocket as a tool for erasing spam.
The rocket was inspired by Mr. Black's car, a script that fox had witnessed a few months prior. The car contained most of the features that fox had planned to add, with the exception of an odometer.
In March of 2025, fox had attempted to rewrite the rocket script with assistance of a (now discontinued) Node.JS library it had written. While mostly successful, for various reasons unknown to fox, the code experienced countless bugs, errors, and other weird behaviors, which was demotivating for fox and eventually lead to the discontinuation of progress on both the rocket script and the library altogether.
Other projects
Custom OWOT client
As of June 2025, fox is currently working on fox's own from-scratch client to OWOT written in vanilla JavaScript for the browser. Development is currently halted. The code for this project was based off of the code of the 3D image painting script.
fox's main goal is to create a canvas renderer that is about as optimized, quick, and efficient as possible. fox also aims to create a better user experience for newcomers and frequent users alike, as well as to expad upon OWOT's existing feature set, mainly through wider user customization, although these are not the primary goals for this project.
Currently, many helper functions have been borrowed from the official OWOT client, although fox intends to rewrite these functions in the future.

- fox is aromantic, questioning fox's gender identity, and is a furry and a red fox therian.
- fox currently is uncertain which pronouns fox wants to use, so fox specifically requests not to use any in this article and simply refer by fox's username. however, fox currently uses any pronouns except he/him, but previously used it/its pronouns.
- fox's former username, jan soweli Asike, was a translation of its older (no longer used) username "Optic the Wolf" into the minimalist constructed language Toki Pona.
- While fox does not recall when fox first found OWOT, its first OWOT/Uvias account was created on August 25th, 2023. fox had later joined the official OWOT Discord server on the 11th of November in the same year.
