The OWOT Wiki, which could be a valuable resource for new and veteran users alike, is currently in shambles. Go to a random page and you will see that the quality of most pages is low. There are barely any aspects of OWOT that are thoroughly documented. This page will lay out some basic expectations and quality standards in order to improve the Wiki.

Style

All articles should be written in a grammatical and professional manner.

The following table contains some basic standards that will standardize some of the content in the Wiki.

Entity or Entities Referenced Acceptable Formats
OWOT OWOT, Our World of Text
OWOT Wiki Wiki, OWOT Wiki, Our World of Text Wiki
External links to OWOT worlds Link to the owot.me redirect
Users Complete username or commonly used nickname(s).
Note: an article on a commonly used nickname should redirect to the article on the complete username.

Articles

All articles should be fully interlinked for ease of navigation. If possible, condense smaller articles into larger articles for ease of access. The titular topic of an article should be, if possible, referenced in the first sentence of the article with the following source code: [[the article name should go here]].

If you create a new article with only one sentence, always remember use the stub template.

While suitable standards vary from article to article, below are some basic standards for some basic categories of articles.

Worlds

All Wiki articles about OWOT worlds should follow the World template by using the following source code: {{subst:World}}.

Users

All Wiki articles about OWOT users should follow the User template by using the following source code: {{subst:User}}.

Documentation

All Wiki articles documenting aspects of OWOT should be under the category Documentation.
