Katherine Hessen

Katherine Hessen is a character created by a spammer in late 2024. She is the protagonist of multiple spam messages sent to chat in late 2024, and of pastes on the canvas. The narrative resembles a word-swapped version of the real-life conflict between Israel and Hamas. According to the spammer, Hessen has "killed 450,000 kids in Galsi" (Galsi being Gaza). Within the lore, there have been allusions to Kelsentia (Israel) and Andirika (America). A Uvias account named KatherineHessen exists, through which political campaign-style messages have been posted. Of note is that Katherine Hessen and Kamala Harris have the same initials.

Authorship

Hessen's authorship is uncertain. Lemuria claims that it is the work of an anonymous user, while d9eoead, and PC_KOSA have accused Lemuria of being the author.

Anonymous user

Lemuria wrote the following text on the article List of OWOT Trolls:

A fictional character, created by an unnamed user from an unspecified alternate history forum (as explained by another anon who came to OWOT from the same forum). The user has created an entire universe revolving around Hessen, mostly a word-swapped version of the real-life conflict between Israel and Hamas. According to the spammer, Hessen has "killed 450,000 kids in Galsi" (Galsi being Gaza). The spammer has also alluded to Kelsentia (Israel) and Andirika (America). The user has a Uvias account named KatherineHessen, through which they post political campaign-style messages. Of note is that Katherine Hessen and Kamala Harris have the same initials. Unlike other spammers, the Hessen spammer is very rarely seen.

Lemuria has been accused of being the author on two separate occasions, first by PC_KOSA in late 2024, and then by d9eoead in June 2025. He has repeatedly denied these accusations.
