Wipers
Wipers are scripts that allow users to rapidly clear large amounts of text. This is often used to combat spam, though these scripts can also be used for more destructive purposes, and as such tend not to be handed out freely.
Notable wipers
Fern's wiper
Wipes text in a diamond-shaped pattern.

lime's raywiper
Erases spam in a circular pattern. Used by lime.owot to maintain Spawn throughout 2025. This script specifically targets image pastes by only erasing cells with altered background colors.
NextOS was given a modified version of this script that left behind strange patterns when wiping text. This version was set up in a way that allowed lime to monitor its activities, and to prevent NextOS from using it in case of wipe abuse.

Other spam clearing scripts
Most of these are rather gimmicky, meant to serve more as interesting spectacles than as effective ways of erasing spam.
Roombas
Mobile scripts that automatically crawl around the canvas and delete everything in their paths. Roombas function much slower than manual wiping and are usually limited to a small radius around the center. Despite this, these scripts are almost universally despised since they lack the ability to distinguish between spam and original content.
The first roombas originated from Your World of Text in late 2022, and were created by a user who was simply named The Janitor. They were then duplicated by a user named Catha'Vi, who brought them to OWOT in 2024. Another scripter named Prohibit would later create their own roomba in 2025, though this one didn't see much use.

Black hole script
A script from November 2025 that slowly sucks in text in a small radius. The center switches periodically between a full block unicode and a note link that didn't appear to contain anything.

Vacuum script
Another script from November 2025, possibly by the same creator as the black hole script.
