December 2025 spam wars

A series of spam wars that occurred on December 20th and December 21st, 2025. This happened in the midst a temporary color ban on the Mainpage, so emojis had to be substituted for text color.

The primary perpetrators of these conflicts were two Trollbox migrants named bengobeklitava and UntitledOWOT, who generated massive amounts of spam using a leaked raywiper by gimmickCellar. While the raywiper was intended as a tool for erasing spam, it turned out to be an especially powerful spam script when other characters (mainly emojis) were substituted for spaces. The script also enabled users to generate a variety of shapes other than circles, encouraging bengo and Untitled to experiment with it in the most destructive ways possible.

Wave 1

A large scale spam war occured from around 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM EST on December 20th, 2025. GimmickCellar's raywiper was modified to generate large, circular patterns at Spawn, all while another scripter named Banksy covered the area with massive image pastes using their newly introduced image paster.

Due to the color ban, this is an unprecedented instance of spammers fighting without utilizing text colors. One spammer, bengobeklitava, supplemented for this lack using pasta emojis.

The wiper uses rays to generate circles, which tend to miss certain text and leave behind intricate patterns.

Other scripts

Banksy was prolific in churning out small, animated scripts throughout November and December 2025. In the past three days alone they had deployed 11+ of their creations at Spawn.

The scripts that they used on December 19th/20th were supposed to have color, leading them to curse FP for the color ban.

All of these scripts appeared in between major spam waves, with the exception of the bomb/tank script which can be seen in the previous section.

Wave 2

Went on from around 3:00 PM EST to 4:00 PM EST on December 20th, 2025. The primary perpetrator was likely bengobeliktava, who began experimenting with different colored emojis and shapes other than circles.

Wave 3

The third wave started on at 1:24 AM EST on December 21st, 2025. Bengo was back once again to experiment with new shapes, though this time they met a significant obstacle in Schjessu, who would consistently blot out Spawn with her own spam.

Several other spammers joined in at around 1:51 AM, including one who spammed links to furry porn.

Activity died down around 4:09 AM. Like with the first wave, wave 3 ended with Bengo pasting a massive diamond on top of all the spam that had accumulated.

Following the end of the third wave, Bengo revealed that he had intended to have UntitledOWOT take the blame for their spam.
