Name: Difference between revisions

Name is a male discord user who joined the [[OWOT Discord|OWOT Discord server]] in January 2025, it is unknown exactly when he joined OWOT itself as he was an anon until very recently.

 

[[d9eoead]] is vocal in his hatred of Name's humor and has repeatedly called it out for being annoying. And since most of Name's messages are jokes, this has led to a cyclical buildup of tension between the two users. Specifically, d9 has criticized Name for making numerous inappropriate jokes(''Ex. saying "hear me out" in response to innocuous images''), along with several instances where he spam pinged admins for no reason; this latter grievance was backed up by multiple members of the OWOT Discord, whereas most other complaints against name had been from d9 alone.

 

On his part, Name had never taken any of d9's accusations too seriously, and the "beef" between him and d9 was largely one-sided. This changed on May 6th, 2025 when d9 proposed on the <u>new rules discussion</u> thread that [[Lemuria]] should be banned for repeated offenses of ragebaiting along with just being a general nuisance. In response to this, Name shed his humorous persona for the first time and spoke passionately that people should not be banned just because d9 dislikes them, and that d9 himself had done far worse things in the past. He also fiercely contested d9's claim that banning Lemuria would be for his own good, citing that nobody on the server had the credibility to say whether Lemuria has a mental illness or not. Name then recounts how he himself had to go through years of therapy after the pandemic cut him off from his main source of social interaction, and states that it might be harmful to do the same to Lemuria. Towards the end of the argument Name spilled all the hatred he had harbored towards d9 and said that he was "genuinely awful to talk to." He then blocked d9 and left the server for mental health reasons.
