[[FP]] later stated that cv and tap were promoted as "trial members" to see how well they'd do, since both of them were relatively new to the site and Membership is usually reserved for older, more trusted users. FP also referred to them as "trial mods," since members have the ability to perform certain moderation functions on the [[/|Mainpage]](''Ex. protecting text, rapidly wiping areas'').
