Eldit

Eldit is the creator of Our World of Pixels and a founder of Uvias, the login system for both OWOT and OWOP. He started both projects in cooperation with OWOT admin InfraRaven, who (used to) host both OWOT and OWOP on the same server.

Creation of OWOP

On October 27th, 2016, Eldit released OWOP as a school project. It was initially located at cursors.me/pixels, but was redirected to yourworldofpixels.com on November 12th — after InfraRaven was contacted about the project — and then to ourworldofpixels.com by November 17th . It was also on the 17th that the site's existence was first advertised to the public.

Eldit cites multiplayerpiano.net and cursors.io as his inspirations for learning how to code, and said that he developed OWOP because he "wanted others to experience this drive too."

OWOP2

Eldit has been developing a sequel to OWOP since 201?, with the community joking for years about how long the project is taking to come out. Ultimately, Eldit ended up resigning before OWOP2 was completed. Though the project has presumably changed hands, and as of December 2025 Eldit believes that it is "not too far off from the finish line."

OWOP2 is coded using C++, and will bring new features such as [tbd].

Resignation

On December 10th, 2025, Eldit stepped down from his role as OWOP's lead developer, handing leadership of the site to FP in the process. He had been developing the site for 9 years by that point, and felt that he was no longer enjoying it, all while situations in his life limited the time he could spend working on the site.

At the time of his resignation, Eldit said that he was "getting my own house and trying to love life again."
