The Man Hating Zone was a faction of radical feminist trolls who have existed in YWOT since the early 2010s, and who took up a presence in OWOT around March 2021. The group is almost completely anonymous and functions as a hivemind, with their activities ranging from fighting spam to arguing with users at Spawn.
The MHZ is primarily known for writing a truly horrific amount of grotesque fanfictions, most of which are pornographic, incestuous, zoophilic and/or pedophilic in nature. And because many of these stories involve real (often underage) OWOT users, the MHZ is the subject of heavy controversy.
Throughout the early 2020s the MHZ have created multiple large-scale worlds within OWOT. The most notable of these are /mhz, which hosts their fanfics and art, and /OWOTD, where they write down their opinions about the OWOT userbase.

History
"A group of random people (mostly females) would write messed up stories on the front page of ywot since the beginning of this website, wanting to preserve their content, they finally created a world called ~whatamidoingicanteven/beautifulstories years later.
It contained a variety of stories, such as a mayonnaise-lubed man having anal sex with the horse penetrating to create 'shitmayo'. fanart was even created for these stories.
YWOT was full of scriptkiddies at the time, so they got bored and deleted their world.
Years later after the vast majority of public scripts stopped working, they came back and started writing stories on the front page again, building roads, creating and fixing ASCII art and clearing spam off numerous worlds.
You can occasionally watch a war between nazi spammers and their enemies, dog asshole sniffer, or rarely the "big black cthulhu cock" proselytizers. both of which are users of mhz, they have won every ridiculous spamwar.
They made the decision to create a new world named "~Manhatingzone." It's currently the most active user-created page, and is predominantly female.
MHZ's userbase tells males they find annoying to "show dick".
Some males have a grudge against MHZ and will erase any content they type on the front page, disappointing those who were fapping to anal vore fiction."
- Message from Your World of Text
The Man Hating Zone had existed on Your World of Text long before the creation of its sister website. Mr.Guy, a veteran YWOT user, theorized that they originated from the writings of a single user before growing into an entire faction with multiple leaders. Mr.Guy recounts that they began as a mostly private community before making a presence on the YWOT Mainpage(writing the same deranged copypastas that they wrote in the 2020s). He also reports seeing an internal schism within the group around 2016, where one of the leaders left and took a portion of the community with them[1].
On their part, the MHZ claims to have existed since the creation of Your World of Text in 2009. This has not been verified, but Mr.Guy attests that they have been an active organization long before the 2015 Mainpage Wipe. Roughly supporting this, the oldest piece of information on /OWOTD refers to a glitch from 2010. /OWOTD also references an "OWOT without colors," likely the 2010 version of Our World of Text by Andrew Badr.
/OWOTD/iceberg also mentions that the MHZ have feuded with the Mormons of old YWOT and witnessed the spammer vs eraser wars of 2013.
The MHZ was not mentioned on the OWOT Discord until March of 2021. It is likely that the 2020 YWOT Lockdown drove them to migrate to OWOT en masse. Around this time the MHZ created several large-scale worlds and garnered a controversial reputation for writing erotica of underage users. They became involved in multiple conflicts, most notably against an invasion by 4chan's /mlp/ board. The various feuds of this era, along with the MHZ's opinions on the userbase at the time, have all been documented in /OWOTD.
2022 seemed to have been a particularly active year for the MHZ. The first half of that year saw them making a brief return to Your World of Text, where they could frequently be seen making crude jokes near Spawn, all while creating the odd ASCII art here and there. Most of the writings and art from this era have now been immortalized in /mhz.
By 2024, however, the MHZ appeared to have become almost entirely dormant. At that time there still seemed to be a few active members left, since parts of /mhz would continue to receive updates up until its final closure in April of 2025. As of 2025 the faction is believed to have left the site, though a few MHZ adjacent anons can still be seen in chat from time to time.

There's a "subzone" for owning "pet clowns", and fan fiction about random characters and numerous users of OWOT and YWOT. There are multiple cities and towns on MHZ. MHZ only allows original content.
/mhz was likely created around March of 2021, alongside the first major surge of MHZ activity in OWOT. An anon from that time (who was possibly a MHZer themselves) claimed that the Man Hating Zone manually transferred all the content from their YWOT world /~manhatingzone to this page. /~manhatingzone has been privated since the early 2020s at the latest.

"Responding to MHZ drama 22: "Andrei and cv screw" edition:
There is no evidence of MHZ ever spamming main page, chats, or worlds. The only time one could ever see MHZ "spamming" the main page is if they were actively fighting off a raid. (which happened against the /mlp/ raiders)
There however is evidence of MHZ clearing spam and making art, it's been known for years now that YWOT MHZ frequently fought off spammers, built roads, created art, fixed other people's ASCII art, and cleaned user worlds full of spam. If anyone used YWOT more frequently they may remember the "FUCK YOU SHIT CUNT NI**ER BITCH SLUT WHORE FA**OT!" type spam across many user worlds.
Much was cleaned by MHZ, and you can still find traces of "Cleaned by ~Manhatingzone" on various worlds. On the YWOT /MHZ (not ~MHZ) you could find people leaving thanks for ASCII art or for cleaning the spam, however this page was griefed by the Touhou spammer.
According to users and old YWOT copypasta, MHZ named themselves ~Manhatingzone because of the misogyny on the site, and they knew it would piss off the male spammers.
There is no evidence of a bunch of MHZ users hanging around on the main page, you have one girl, "Laden", who is a degenerate but makes no claim of being a full on MHZ user. You have some users who like MHZ but they are not "hivettes".
All of this is confusing newer users who get their info from the Discord, (stares at cv), and spreads disinfo. This entire cv+Andrei grudge against MHZ likely started because of the lurker revolution when MHZ users and lurkers got fed up with main page members spamming spawn and member protecting their spam, members advertising their worlds and protecting their advertisements, erasing any criticism and member protecting insults against non-members, cv got demoted around that time.
And also because of the clique at the time being misogynistic in chat, which when MHZ fully migrated over after the YWOT shutdown, got called out. Much of OWOT's male userbase freaked out at girls defending themselves, to the point of them spamming flame emojis over anything a girl said.

Though it had supposedly been around for much longer, the Man Hating Zone did not attract attention in the OWOT Discord until 2021, after it had migrated out of YWOT following the latter site's Mainpage lockdown. Today, the MHZ's pedophilic and zoophilic tendencies have made them the subject of much community vitriol. Notably, MHZ members have no qualms against writing smut of underage users.
AndreiXYZ was historically the most vocal critic of the MHZ, and tried multiple times to get FP to delete certain sections of their worlds. He also caused /OWOTD to be temporarily privated after griefing it using scripts.
In response, the MHZ wrote numerous fanfictions(most of which were sexual in nature) about Andrei and even created an entire world to mock him.
As of 2024, however, Andrei has decided to stop talking about the Man Hating Zone or its worlds. Similarly, the MHZ has become dormant and no longer attracts as much drama as it did before.
In defense of their actions, MHZ members have pointed out that all of their (pedophilic and zoophilic) fan fictions were ironic in nature and not meant to be taken seriously; and not only have they refrained from spamming, but they actively fought spam and tried to protect art whenever they could. Needless to say, most users found these justifications insufficient for the sheer immorality of certain fanfics; though the MHZ is certainly an anomaly for being perhaps the only troll group who actually wants to make the site a better place.
As a whole, much of the OWOT community is disturbed by the Man Hating Zone, with most electing to simply ignore them. Andrei has historically expressed frustration over FP's refusal to take action against the MHZ.
On their part, the MHZ has shown some amount of dislike towards most members of the community, especially admins, Mainpage members and those who frequent the OWOT Discord.

Meimei was reportedly kicked out of the Hivemind for unknown reasons. It is unclear what role they played within the MHZ prior to being expelled, assuming that they were a MHZer at all and not just a fangirl. Currently, the only traces of them that remain in the OWOT /mhz world are a few drawings at X:444 Y:444.
Meimei became active on YWOT in early 2022, coinciding with a brief surge in MHZ activity.

- Given the anonymous nature of the organization, even the MHZ is forced to acknowledge that a few males may have infiltrated their ranks. As a result they label themselves as a "mostly" female faction.
- There was a theory going around that the MHZ is entirely composed of Andrew Badr sock-puppets, and only one or two users are actually female.
- There is a spin-off of /OWOTD on Your World of Text named /~YWOTD, which only received a few updates from 2022, when the MHZ briefly returned to YWOT.
- There is another group of female users that's known for writing massive amounts of homoerotic fanfics in hidden worlds. Unlike the MHZ they are still active to this day, though they write exclusively in Russian and do not interact with the community outside of their dedicated pages.
