/ is the world that everyone first sees upon joining OWOT.

Square of Publicity

At X: 0, Y: 0 is the Square of Publicity. It is a 2x2 chunk with a space to type in the center, with the rest being member-protected. The member-protected part hosts various links and scripts. It's usually the first target of spam since almost everyone wants to type in it and it's the first thing one sees upon joining OWOT.

Ratings

At X: 3600, Y: 4500 is the Ratings poll. It is linked on the Square of Publicity and it hosts a selection of worlds that people are able to like or dislike. The world with the highest like to dislike ratio will be nominated WOTD.

Frontpage Status

At X: 1010, Y: 1010 you can see how many people are currently online and how many views the page has.

Spam

/ is commonly subjected to various spam attacks, whether big or small.

Image pastes

There may be images being pasted at times. A wide variety of images are pasted, including logos, stock images, and face reveals. Very rarely, porn is pasted, which has led to colors being turned off several times.

Spawn pub

Usually below the Square of Publicity, you will find the spawn pub (sometimes replaced with VYN bar). However, there is no official interior.

CMB, VYN, and Baumer roleplays

Occasionally, you will see the Combined Military Brigade, VYN, Baumer, and lime.owot and nonaem's stickmen interacting with each other.

lime.radio

Around ten tiles away from the Square of Publicity, currently to the east, you will find lime.radio, a script that communicates with its clients via cmd commands. You can "tune into" the "radio" by running the script at its bottom right corner in your browser in an OWoT tab connected to the same world as the radio.

Crawlers

Rarely near Square of Publicity, crawler scripts are scripts that crawl a list of URLs. The most well-known one is at around x-3y3, which is a crawler script by yiff_plus which has lasted the longest amount of time out of all of them. It crawls the internet, sorting links into different domains and topics.

Progress bars

At yiff_plus' crawler is a progress bar script by JustAnOWOTUser which tells you how long until the week and month ends. It used to be below the Square of Publicity, but after measures were taken to deter this, it moved to the crawler.

Counters

Around early 2024, above or below the Square of Publicity were counter scripts, usually by Fernozzle, which host a steadily or logarithmically increasing number of something. The most common of these are "(user) has baked (number) of cupcakes" or "(user) has typed (number) times". Counters usually get a bad rep due to being eyesores or being generally annoying.
