By late 2024/early 2025, images have begun to regularly outnumber other forms of text at [[Spawn]], prompting several users to jokingly call the site "Our World of Image Pastes."

Pornographic spam has always been a recurring problem on OWOT and the lack of measures against it have led to fierce criticism against the site's [[moderation]].
