theawesomepikachu20, more commonly known as tap20, was a user who joined Our World of Text on 30 December 2019. He was the founder and mayor of Pika City, a city on OWOT located at (0, 92).

He was one of the most active members before leaving OWOT in 2023, on the fourth anniversary of his time in OWOT.

His personal world is at /theawesomepikachu20 which is private due to him quitting.

He was born on January 5, 2008.

History

According to Fern, Tap20 found OWOT from Edit The Text.

As a Mainpage member

Tap20 and cv were promoted to Mainpage members on March 16th, 2021 after asking for the role from InfraRaven. FP later stated that cv and tap were promoted as "trial members" to see how well they'd do, since both of them were relatively new to the site and Membership is usually reserved for older, more trusted users. FP also referred to them as "trial mods," since members have the ability to perform certain moderation functions on the Mainpage(Ex. protecting text, rapidly wiping areas).

Upon receiving their membership, cv and Tap20 immediately began editing the Center Console, adding a large amount of links to the member-only region until the following day, when it was reversed to its previous, uncluttered state.

From then on, Tap20 would become one of the most active members, frequently protecting text and art around Spawn.

Worlds

Tap20 was known for being one of the site's most prolific world creators. Many of his worlds were nominated as World of the Day.

A few of these pages were privated, however, after Tap20 took his leave from OWOT.

Pika City

In 2020, Tap20 founded Pika City(or Pikacity) at Y:100 using mostly assets pasted from the same coordinate in Your World of Text.

Countless users have added to the city since then, making it one of the largest settlements in all of OWOT, and likely the site's most well-known community project.

And though it suffered multiple griefs throughout its lifespan, Pika City remains on the Frontpage to this day as Tap20's most prominent contribution to the community.

After much foreshadowing, tap20 left the site around December 30th, 2023, exactly four years after he first discovered the site.

Sometime after leaving the site, tap20 deleted all of his messages from the OWOT Discord.
