OWOT continues to run on a temporary server
After 67 days since July 31, OWOT is still running on a temporary server. Please see the section Our World of Text is still running on a temporary server from a previous release for more information.
Script spam has been thwarted
Earlier this week, there have been instances where the front page had been flooded with advertisements to "place.bonziworld.org" in large text. The spam primarily peaked during the hours of 12 AM EST up until 7 AM EST.
Most of the spam has been reverted or cleared out. Around seven IP addresses associated with the large text spam have been rate-limited or banned during this time.
Additionally, another type of spam has been observed which involves a rainbow trail of block characters that follows text and "infects" it like slime. It primarily follows roads and eats up text that is in its way. The spam appears to have stopped as of a few days ago.
