The name Uppsampi comes from Uppercase Sampi. It is also inspired by the name of Uppsala, Sweden.

Landmarks

Uppsampi High School is known for its intricate shape as well.

Uppsampi has a very large high school, with tons of students attending classes in the astonishing in size E-shaped building. You can find a spacious sports hall and a swimming pool at the school. It is reported to have the highest education level of the entirety of Our World of Text, with a staggering 99.2% exam passing rate.

Food

There is strong barbecue culture in Uppsampi, as many restaurants have set up shop in the bustling city. One of them is Andrew's BBQ and Grill, which opened to critical acclaim. It is one of the most popular spots in the city for food and drinks.

The fact that Uppsampians love barbecue so much really helps us earn profits, especially in these remote parts of OWoT. There's some sort of drive in them that makes them hungry for steak that would require a psychologist to explain why it exists. We just take advantage of it.

Local chains

Local chains include Usampisi and Sampimart, both being convenience store chains. They are the only notable franchises in the city.

Symbols

The city symbol of Uppsampi is the uppercase greek letter Sampi. It is also abstractedly represented on the cities' flag.
